Software development services

The engineering capability to build the whole product.

9+ years and 67+ products launched by one senior team across custom software, modernization, mobile, web, Web3, AI, and cloud. Start with the product you need or the system holding the business back.

01 · Product engineering

Custom software

Software shaped around one business job, not a template stretched to fit.

SaaS products

Multi-tenant data models, billing states, roles, and admin tools decided with the first schema, not bolted on after launch.

Discuss this work

MVPs and first releases

The smallest release that proves the product job, with architecture that survives the next funding or traffic stage.

Discuss this work

Internal tools

Spreadsheets and chat handoffs become owned workflows with permissions, history, and reporting the team can trust.

Discuss this work

Customer portals

Accounts, documents, status, and payments in one authenticated surface wired to the systems that already run the business.

Discuss this work

02 · Existing systems

Software modernization

Keep the logic that still earns its place. Replace the parts that make delivery slow or risky.

Codebase assessment

Dependencies, architecture, security surface, and delivery speed reviewed before anyone proposes a rewrite.

Discuss this work

Staged migration

Old and new paths run in parallel with explicit cutover criteria so the business is never frozen for a big bang release.

Discuss this work

Platform rebuild

Business rules and data are preserved while the delivery bottlenecks around them are replaced.

Discuss this work

Integration repair

Brittle point-to-point calls become owned APIs with contracts, versioning, and failure handling.

03 · iOS and Android

Mobile app development

One product model across platforms without flattening what each platform does well.

Native and cross-platform apps

Swift, Kotlin, or Flutter releases with signing, store process, and crash-free upgrades planned from the start.

Discuss this work

Payments and subscriptions

Store billing and web checkout share one entitlement state so a member never pays twice for the same access.

Discuss this work

Device features

Health data, camera, location, push, and background work that respect OS limits instead of fighting them.

Discuss this work

Release operations

Phased rollouts, remote config, analytics, and crash reporting wired before the first public build.

Discuss this work

04 · Websites and applications

Web development

Interfaces people can use on a phone at speed, backed by content and data the team can operate.

Marketing sites

Fast, structured pages with a CMS workflow marketing can run without opening a pull request.

Discuss this work

Web applications

Authenticated product UI, complex state, and API contracts that stay versioned as the product grows.

Discuss this work

Ecommerce

Catalog, cart, checkout, and back office connected to real inventory, payments, and fulfillment.

Discuss this work

Design systems

Tokens, components, and documentation that keep product and marketing surfaces visually and behaviorally consistent.

Discuss this work

05 · On-chain products

Web3 and blockchain

On-chain mechanics with the same product discipline as any other production system.

Smart contracts

Solidity logic with tests, deployment scripts, and explicit trust boundaries written for audit, not demo day.

Discuss this work

Wallets and dApps

Connect, sign, and show on-chain state without hiding fees, approvals, or risk from the person using the product.

Discuss this work

Token platforms

Sales, vesting, staking, and claims modeled as one participant lifecycle instead of four disconnected pages.

Discuss this work

On-chain operations

Indexing, monitoring, and administration tools for products that still have to run after the launch thread ends.

Discuss this work

06 · Applied intelligence

AI and automation

Model features wired to real data, permissions, and review, not a chatbot parked on a marketing page.

Assistants in product

Retrieval, tools, and access control grounded in your corpus so answers respect who is asking and what they may see.

Discuss this work

Workflow automation

Document, support, and operations pipelines with human review gates wherever a wrong answer costs money.

Discuss this work

Recommendation systems

Ranking tied to member state and measurable product outcomes, separable enough to improve without a full rebuild.

Discuss this work

Evaluation and guardrails

Offline test sets and online metrics so model changes ship under the same release discipline as any other feature.

Discuss this work

07 · Systems under the product

Backend, API, and cloud

The services, data, and infrastructure the visible product depends on every request.

APIs and services

Versioned contracts, authentication, rate limits, and observability designed before the first client integrates.

Discuss this work

Data and payments

Schemas, migrations, billing webhooks, and reconciliation paths that survive failed charges and retries.

Discuss this work

Cloud infrastructure

Environments, CI/CD, secrets, and cost visibility owned by a team that can operate what it ships.

Discuss this work

Production support

Monitoring, incident response, and fixes that include the root cause, not only the symptom that paged someone.

Where the work begins

You can arrive with a brief, a live product, or a problem.

A useful first step does not require a finished specification. We use your current context to identify the decision that unlocks useful work.

A new product needs a credible first release

We shape the smallest release that proves the product job, then build the architecture and operating tools required to take it beyond a prototype.

A live product needs to grow without becoming fragile

We examine the current code, data, integrations, infrastructure, and team workflow before changing the parts limiting performance or delivery.

A business process needs its own system

We turn spreadsheets, manual handoffs, disconnected tools, and repeated work into one usable product with clear ownership and reporting.

An existing team needs focused capability

We can take responsibility for a defined outcome or add product, architecture, frontend, backend, mobile, AI, Web3, QA, or release capability to the team already in place.

Delivery scope

The product remains one system, even when the work crosses disciplines.

Product and experience

Discovery, requirements, product flows, interaction design, interface systems, prototypes, usability decisions, and release priorities.

Application engineering

Responsive web interfaces, native and cross-platform mobile apps, backend services, APIs, authentication, payments, subscriptions, and administration tools.

Data, AI, and automation

Data models, integrations, analytics, recommendation logic, search, model-enabled features, automated workflows, evaluation, and human review.

Web3 systems

Wallet-connected interfaces, smart-contract integration, token operations, indexing, participant portals, ownership workflows, and on-chain status.

Cloud and release

Infrastructure, environments, deployment pipelines, monitoring, production readiness, documentation, and handoff.

Ways to work together

Match the delivery model to the work.

End-to-end project delivery

A focused team owns a defined product, platform, migration, or technical outcome through agreed stages and acceptance criteria.

Dedicated development team

Reserved product and engineering capacity works through an ongoing roadmap while your team retains product priorities and business decisions.

Team extension

Selected engineers or specialists join an existing team with an agreed role, access boundary, review process, and handoff.

Discovery or technical assessment

A bounded first engagement turns an unclear product or system problem into a scope, architecture direction, risk register, and practical next step.

Ongoing engineering

Continue after launch with product improvements, maintenance, production support, or a changing roadmap under a defined operating model.

All seven entries are real UnicornX portfolio projects. Each case study focuses on the product problem, the system delivered, and the engineering required to make the parts work together.

Questions buyers ask

The things worth knowing before a first call.

These are the questions that come up before most engagements. Answered the way we would answer them on the call.

How much does a custom software project cost?

Scope decides cost more than the technology does. A focused assessment or bounded fix can be a small engagement; a full product build is larger. We scope the work, then give a fixed range before any commitment, so the number reflects your product rather than a rate card.

How long does it take to build a product with UnicornX?

A defined first release usually takes eight to sixteen weeks. Larger platforms run longer and ship in stages. We agree the release boundary and acceptance criteria up front, so the timeline tracks a working product rather than an open-ended estimate.

Can you take over an existing codebase or fix a fragile system?

Yes. We start with a focused review of the code, infrastructure, dependencies, and current production risks. That review decides whether the right move is a repair, a staged modernization, or a rebuild, and it names the risks before you commit to a larger engagement.

Do we need a finished specification before we talk to you?

No. A useful first conversation can start with an outcome, a broken workflow, a live product, or one technical decision. Discovery turns that context into a workable scope, so an early idea is a valid starting point.

Can UnicornX work alongside our internal engineering team?

Yes. We define responsibility, repository access, decision rights, review points, and handoff before joining your process. The engagement is built to strengthen the team already in place, not add another coordination layer.

What happens after a product launches?

We can hand over with documentation, credentials, and known limitations, or continue with product improvements, maintenance, and production support. The operating model is agreed during the engagement, so the day after launch is planned rather than improvised.
